The Universidad de Concepción offers the students the provision of a variety of study scholarships, welfare services, medical and dental services and residential accommodation as well as short and long term university grants, among other benefits. The fees include a student insurance that covers the whole period of studies.

The University also provides the students with numerous possibilities to participate in physical activities. There is an open air stadium and six gymnasia for a wide variety of sports.

THE UNIVERSITY´S ART HERITAGE AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

The Art Museum of the Universidad de Concepción, Casa del Arte, houses the richest and most complete collection of Chilean paintings. The Art Museum is also the site of numerous cultural and artistic activities such as conferences, concerts and exhibitions.
The Universidad de Concepción has a Symphonic Orchestra and a choir, both of high level of performance.
The University also owns important scientific collections which are located in the Museum of Natural Sciences on the Concepción Campus.
There is a Publishing Division, a Central Library and Faculty Libraries.
